Today’s post brought this lovely card from Stavanger , the 4th largest city in Norway and European Capital of Culture 2008.

Here’s what the back of the card says: “Lysebotn.Ørnesvingene (Eagle Bends) must be Norway’s most dramatic road. The lower part runs in a spiral tunnel, then climbs in 27 hairpin bends to about 1000 metres. Here, at the edge of the road, is Ørneredet (Eagle’s Nest, an old shieling), with a fantastic view of the valley.”

I don’t know about you, but I certainly would not want to drive along that road! Just look at those 27 bends… Having said that, I’m sure the view would be worth it.
